I've been busy on the website!! I have added more photos to the gallery (they can be seen on the website or on the Rottenrow flickr page - www.flickr.com/photos/43546751@N04/) I have made a banner and put it on the website! Don't be too harsh! I only had those photos taken before and after the game to work with! We didn't get any action shots! We'll get them over the coming weeks though. The latest match report, scorers table, etc, etc have been done. I've added a link to The Bath Street Pony website on the front page. I'll add more later. I still plan to use images in place of the text on the front page but we need more images (and more topical images) before I do that. The profiles are coming along nicely but we still have a huge amount missing. Eventually I'll start sending out emails. The site still needs a general tidy (text size, shade, etc) but I'll do that in one go once it is finished.

My MOTM seems to be missing. I'm not banging on about it, but I don't get many, so please make sure everyone knows about it!
With the game being at home this week, hopefully we can get some of the Uni boys to take photos for us. Apart from that, website is looking not bad indeed

I have the camera in the car so I plan to stop at training on the way home to take a few pictures. Ideally some training ones and a few of us sitting bantering in the changing room!
I believe your MOTM was for your heroics in the cup? Are we counting cup games? We don't normally count the goals. I'm happy to add it though, it deserves to be recorded.
Aye, hopefully we can get some action photos at the weekend if the students are about.

JK - count the cup games.
Whilst we all put in a shift, Crampsey played a blinder both in saving the pens, but helping to organise the defence.

I'm not doubting his MOTM award.
We've never counted cup goals so it didn't occur to me to count cup MOTMs. We should though, even if we don't count the goals.
Did anybody get DOTD?

The photos from training last week are up on flickr, and therefore the website. No great ones but they're alright. Something different anyway.

I've just had another look at buying a site. We can buy www.rottenrowhockey.com for £40 for 2 years (could buy it for longer but that seems long enough to me, I'm guessing it is easy to renew). I know you can buy the site somewhere else but I don't know how the costs compare or how easy it is to link in to our site. I'm happy to pay the £40 for that but wanted to check with the experts first. Any comments welcome.

sounds like you are getting ripped off.
what website was that from ? yes it is easy to renew.
i usually look at simplynames.com (it's <20 for 2 years there)
other websites to try - freeparking.co.uk, hostway, go-daddy.
usually the .co.uk address is a fraction of the cost (eg. on simply it's £6 for 2 years).

Hi JK,
Scott is right in that .co.uk domains are much cheaper. 123-reg.co.uk will do you rottenrowhockey.co.uk for £6 for two years as well.
The things to look out for in buying a domain is whether hosting is included or not. Hosting is the actual computer that the website files are placed on and available from. I'd suggest that you leave the files on weebly and have some domain masking / forwarding so that users type in rottenrowhockey.... and end up seeing the files from rr.weebly.com.
If you want I can sit down with you for 5 minutes before training and go over what you might need to know?
Or else there are plenty of other website experts kicking around here!
